Second meeting this season. In the first meeting on June llth, the Pirates dropped a 2-0, seven inning, weekday, decision. The Dodgers scored twice off of Leo Brown in the second inning, one run of which was unearned runs. Over the last five innings, Leo scattered three hits and two walks. The Pirates' best scoring chances came in the fourth and seventh innings. In the fourth, Bill Keeling and Mark Ferguson were left stranded after a two out single and double. In the ninth, an error and John Denney's double also failed to produce a run.
The Dodgers are 7-2 and trail the Orioles by a half game in the Bluegrass Division. The Dodgers have scored double digit runs against all their Fleur de Lis Division opponent except the Pirates.
